Pogostemon Helferi, also known as “Little Star”, is a gorgeous aquarium carpeting plant that can fill up the foreground space as long as you have a nice rich substrate for it to flourish. 

The Pogostemon has the sweetest little curly leaves that give it a rosette-shaped look. The plant resembles a star shaped growth, hence the name “Little Star”, making it a unique appearance inside the aquarium. 

The plant does grow in moderate light, however we suggest a brighter light to grow a more bushier look. The lower lighting will make it grow taller, which may not be as ideal for the carpeting plant appearance that aquarists want to achieve. Also, we suggest to use our root tabs for added nutrients due to its ability to absorb nutrients quickly.
